6 Things All Chicagoans Know Part 1 – There’s a few things about being from Chicago that all Chicagoans know. Here’s our list of 6 things that all Chicagoans know, part 1.
6. Train Times
Every Chicago knowns their train schedule. Whether it be the Red Line, Blue Line, or Brown Line – You know what time the trains come. However, this can never prepare you enough to not be late for the train. Even though you know the train is coming at 11:15, you’ll still show up at 11:17 thinking maybe the train might be a little late, then kick yourself later for not being exactly on time.
5. You Don’t Put Ketchup on Hotdogs
Ketchup on Hot Dogs is a total sin. Every Chicagoan knows the exact ingredients for a Chicago Style Hot Dog. We all know that you don’t put ketchup on Hot Dogs. Chicago Style means one thing: The hot dog is topped with yellow mustard, chopped whiteonions, bright green sweet pickle relish, a dill pickle spear, tomato slices or wedges, pickled sport peppers and a dash of celery salt.

588-2300 EMPIRE! Everyone’s favorite ongoing and still running commercial. That terrible tune and those phone numbers have been engrained into our heads at such a young age, it’s crazy that we all still remember the specifics from that commercial. It is one way to tell if someone is actually from Chicago, though.
2. The Curse Is Real
We all know it’s been over 100 years, but the curse is real. Billy Sianis has held this curse since the 1940s. However, there’s another thing we all know about the curse, and the Cubs…THIS IS OUR YEAR!
1. You can’t claim you’re from Chicago if you’re live in the suburbs.
Let’s admit it, unless you have lived in Chicago, you take offense to people who live in the suburbs and claim they live in Chicago. *I LOVE MY CITY! – from Naperville*….SMH
